Church Under the Bridge

Dianne Talbert is a the Executive Director of Church Under the Bridge, San Antonio's church for the homeless and at-risk communities. Dianne served in the US Air Force for 30 years, holding positions in communications, family support, military education, and the Inspector General inspection team, to name a few.  Throughout her career, she was recognized for leading with excellence and received many awards and decorations, both military and in the local community.  She is a wife, a mother of 4, and a grandmother of 18.

After retiring in San Antonio, she came to Church Under the Bridge to use her diverse leadership skills to direct programs and ministries designed to bring hope to those experiencing homelessness.  She orchestrates partnerships with 60 churches and community organizations with over 3,000 volunteers who serve more than 27,000 meals annually.  She manages recognition programs for partners and homeless volunteers, movie days, art programs, an annual Artisan Market, skill development classes, and special events.  She works closely with the Senior Pastor to ensure church services, baptisms, and other church ministries meet the needs of their congregation.

She has also been active in organizations and programs for the homeless.  She served on the Board of Directors for the South Alamo Regional Alliance for the Homeless (SARAH), chaired the annual Point-in-Time count of the homeless in Bexar County required by HUD, and co-hosted The Street Store, a free retail shopping experience for individuals who need community support.  She has a huge love for those who are less fortunate in San Antonio and it shows in everything she does.
