I graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Sociology in May 1970. I received a Master of Social Work in Community Organization and Planning from Columbia University School of Social Work in May 1972. I graduated from Columbia Law School in May 1975.

I have over 100 jury trials as lead counsel during my 40 years’ experience as a trial lawyer representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants in the following areas of law: Personal Injury, Labor & Employment, Consumer, Criminal, and Business & Commercial litigation. I am Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, 1989.

I have completed mediation training and certification through Manousso Mediation and ADR Services and Training. I have received specialized certification in Elder and Adult Care mediation and in Advanced Family, Divorce and Child Custody Mediation. I have completed the Advanced Mediation Course in the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS) and Child Protective Services (CPS) dispute resolution techniques. Finally, I am a member of the ADR Section of the State Bar of Texas; the Association for Conflict Resolution; the Texas Association of Mediators and I am a Credentialed Mediator with the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association. I have participated in over 300 mediations as an attorney participant or as a mediator.
