There are 11 Directors on our board, making a quorum of 6 or more at monthly board meetings, usually held the Third Wednesday from 4:30 - 6:00pm. As of July 1, 2011, we are in our sixth Rotary year of using the Club Leadership Plan model, and have our Key Committee Chairs as members of the board. All board members are "directors" per our bylaws, and "officers" are also "directors".

KEY COMMITTEES:

Club Administration focuses on strengthening fun and fellowship while ensuring the effective functioning and sustainability of SORC’s weekly luncheons, events and operations.

Club Service Projects are “Good Acts” to improve life in our community as well as expanding Rotary’s humanitarian reach around the globe to promote world understanding & peace.

Club Foundation giving is coordinated for our financial commitment to educational and humanitarian programs and processes Every Rotarian Every Year annual donations.

Club Public Relations promotes our activities to the media with newsletters, press releases and internet marketing and informs the general public with a better understanding of what Rotary does both at home and abroad.

Club Membership directs the recruitment and retention of our members along with encouraging service to others through vocational leadership and the practice of high ethical standards.

Every member of our club serves on at least one committee in the above areas, coordinated by the past, current and future Presidential Leadership and governed by the SORC Board of Directors.

Everyone is encouraged to pursue Rotary U degrees

(Attendance, Acquaintance, & Activities)

which are used as a basis of our

New Member Orientation program.
