President David presents the BEYOND 2010 Membership Plan to the membership with a goal of 24 inducted members by March 2010 (we currently have 30 members). Our two Membership Coordinators for the BEYOND 2010 initiative are President David Flack and Immediate Past President Bob Bordelon, covering twelve Teams of Two for the next two months. We gave Executive Chef Rafael our club applause for a fab soup, steak entree, and rice pudding dessert! Monica Seamster is with the new Franklin Park At Sonterra retirement center on Sonterra Place in Stone Oak. Dan Ater is with State Farm Insurance and may be joining SORC soon! He was a Rotarian in Florida previously. (Yes, became a new member Feb 2010)
Dad David is a member of New Braunfels Rotary, and his daughter Brittney lives in Stone Oak and works in New Braunfels with ALZCARE (see http://www.alzcare.net/locations/newbraunfels ) Rex Zamponi is a Commerical Loan Officer with Security Service FCU on Paesanos Parkway, and a former Rotarian - new member? Chuck Nattinger used to work for Lang before he retired ~ hope he comes back anyway (grin) (He did and joined our club Feb 2010) Fascinating presentation on the Real Estate Market in San Antonio by CEO Bob Gardner! RYLA 2010 Weekend volunteers past President Wayne & BJ Duncan ~ up all night!
President David has the Rotary Wheel in chocolate for our RYLA presenters. We had a double presentation today so we could accomodate our annual RYLA folks! What a great group of high school leaders ~ President & Paul Harris Fellow David Flack presents to President-Elect Josh Loden his own Paul Harris Fellow recognition for his contributions to The Rotary Foundation (a Paul Harris Fellow has contributed at least $1000 to the Rotary Foundation) Dan Parman (left) still holds the record for turnout; when he spoke at our club years ago, 76 people showed up! At 73, he's fond of saying

During Brad Parman's presentation, the Donor Opportunities Site was depicted. The Parman Foundation donated ten acres for the new library, which will have more than just books! The Floor Plan shows how space will be allocated. Rendering of new library, South Entrance; should be about a year to build - notice grounds outside!

Brad Parman was presented with a book in his name by President David for the Canyon Ridge Elementary School, which is just up the hill from the Dan Parman library! SORC is considering donations for the coming year to our new Stone Oak library. Dan Parman with his son Brad Parman; the Dan Parman Stone Oak Library will open in 2011.
