Assistant Governor Jackie Parsons presented the RI theme banner for this Rotary year to President David (Jackie formerly was a member of our club and president 2005-2006; see pixs of her then on our photo pages, such as June 2006 Banquet) Melissa Bullerwell was VERY surprised with our club's recognition of her years of service via a Paul Harris Fellow presentation. After three years as Service Projects Chair, she is now the Public Relations Chair for our Rotary Club. Way to go Melissa! Erika Barrientes spoke on District Secretary Al Muniz with David Flack and DGN Sherri Muniz at the SA Northeast Rotary Club presentation of their time in England for the RI Conference this year Michal Moore is inducted by President David with Jack Cleary (Sponsor) Membership Chair; Michal is also our Co-Chair of the Public Relations Cmte.
Dean Perry, Club Foundation Chair presents Rich Braune with a Rotary Foundation recognition pin. Anna Kiefer, Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar 2007-2008, is presented with our special speaker gifts by President David. 2LT Andrew Hill addresses our club; he is the new Ambassadorial Scholar this Rotary Year - President David presented him with a DVD of Jean Irwin, past Ambassadorial Scholar. Nancy Lipton is presented with a book in her name for Canyon Ridge Elementary School; she was our presenter today for San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind (two of our members are on their Board: Vince and Rich) CHOCOLATE always gets a smile (and David always has his mouth open...)- Nancy also got a check for SA Lighthouse from our Second Tuesday in June.
KABB-TV Anchor Cynthia Lee is our guest today, invited by Kent Kirkman (see http://www.kabb.com/biography/clee.shtml) President David presents John Tidmore with a special pin for serving this 2009-2010 year as Rotaract Liaison. President-Elect Josh thanks Boy Scouts of America with a check from our Second Tuesday.
